my training

I have been fascinated by human health for as long as I can remember. After studying biology in college and working in public health, I studied massage with Green Mountain Institute for Integrative Therapy in 2009 and am certified by the organization Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals.  I am also a certified Level 2 Reiki practitioner in the Usui lineage.

The massage I practice is both relaxing and invigorating, informed by

  • Swedish massage
  • Acupressure
  • sports massage
  • trigger point therapy
  • myofascial release
  • craniosacral therapy
  • deep tissue massage

as well as the many-faceted quality of “being present.”  The flow that results from this massage creates  lasting relaxation and possibilities for deep healing.  I studied Herbal medicine at Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism in 2010-11 which informs my understanding of the human body in health and disease.  I have also been a student of Sound Balancing with Eileen McKusick and Body Centered Therapy with Sandra Morningstar.
